Psychology Super Saturday

As part of the British Science Week, on March 18th 2017, the University of Portsmouth’s Department of Psychology would like to welcome anyone with an interest in the science of behaviour to see what we do! We will be opening up our labs and research to the public for a celebration of psychological science!

This hands-on and activity-rich event is a great chance to see how psychologists do their research and the types of behavioural science we do at the University of Portsmouth. There will be lots of chances to get involved with typical experiments, active research and to register for future studies!

The expert researchers at the Department will also be giving drop-in talks on the day, discussing a broad range of psychological research topics; from the sounds of babies’ cries to orangutan communication, from how children lie to the psychology of your walk. These informative, brief (15mins), talks will all be pitched towards family audiences and would be suitable for anyone 11 years old or older. These talks will be drop-in events and will be occuring on the hour each hour (11:00, 12:00, etc.) and half past each hour (11:30, 12:30, etc.)
